ABOUT CAITLIN PHILIPS, LMT

For the past thirty+ years, I've been in practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist to humans. In 2016, I began to transition my practice from human clients to the four-legged and winged. I grew up with everything from dogs and cats to lizards, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, a tortoise, rabbits, rats, a few birds and a gerbil, and have worked with animals in many capacities throughout my life.

My love of horses and riding led me to a 2003 Certification in Equine Sports Massage Therapy from Don Duran's training in Ocala, FL. Since then, I've volunteered my services to various horse rescue organizations and stables, among them Tamaya Horse Rehab in NM. I was Receptionist for Miller Animal Hospital located in West Hollywood, CA, have volunteered for Lange Foundation Animal Rescue, and am a Member of International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork, (IAAMB). I'm certified in Pet CPR and First Aid through The Red Cross, and am insured through Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals, (ABMP).

Additionally, Owner of The Tao of Birthing®, I'm a Certified Birth Doula since 1994, Certified HypnoBirth Educator, Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Certified Prenatal and Infant CranioSacral Therapist. I hold a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology.

""The barn was very large.

It was very old. It often

had a sort of peaceful smell,

as if nothing bad could happen,

  ever again in the world."
